Wood lacquering: useful tips
Lacquering of wooden surfaces is attractive not only through resistance to atmospheric agents, but also provides additional protection from scratching. However, lacquer changes natural wood appearance a little. High quality and eco-friendly wood lacquers provides the possibility of maintaining natural wooden surfaces as well as experimenting; more shine, more vivid hues and most importantly, perfect protection. We recommend lacquering those surfaces that are more likely to be exposed to wear and tear, e.g. wooden floors, protective wooden walls and terrace boards.
Natural wood
Bare wooden surface is the symbol of nature, however, this is the finishing detail that requires more care. Floors that are not lacquered are not even worth mentioning; they are more susceptible to scratching, become dull and do not reveal the whole beauty of the wood. Whereas some of the finishing details might be made of natural wood only and without lacquer. However, these cannot be surfaces in damp environment or in conditions where moisture and temperature are not stable: these promote quick deformations and changes in wood characteristics. Bare wooden surface is not the best choice for floors but is an ideal choice for wall coverings or other finishing details.
